In 2024, the State of Friborg’s budget overruns have exploded

No less than 51 additional credits representing a total of 41.7 million francs have been added to the 2024 budget of the State of Fribourg. This is what emerges from a draft decree from the Council of State which must be validated by the Grand Council. Over the last twenty years, this is the second largest amount, after 2020 (56.4 million francs). It represents more than double the average for the period 2004-2023 (20.6 million) and 0.98% of the total actual expenditure budgeted for 2024.
