Sludge supergroup Metal Down has officially begun recording their new album, a first in nearly two decades for eager fans.
A long wait
Down’s last full studio album was in 2007 with Over The Under. In 2014, the group released an EP, Down IV – Part IIbut since then, musical projects have become rare. However, after months of intensive writing sessions, the band finally seems ready to deliver a long-awaited sequel.
Photos shared on social networks show the group hard at work in the studio, hinting at a new crucial stage in the production of this much-awaited album.

An imminent return to the stage
In addition to these recording sessions, Down also announced some concerts planned in the coming months in the United States, alongside Danzig, Abbath and Cro-Mags. These stage appearances will likely offer fans the opportunity to get a first glimpse of the new opus in preparation.
