It’s already been more than 20 years since the remix ofA Little Less Conversation by Junkie XL, typical of the sound and textures of 2000s house. This song, performed by Elvis Presley for the film The Great Thrillwas only a minor hit at the time and almost no one, when the remix was released in 2002, remembered the song.
Since then, it has often been said that it is Elvis Presley’s first No. 1 song since his death in 1977. This is true for Britain, Canada and a dozen other countries. But, for the United States, it is less obvious. The remix only reached #50 and Elvis’ last #1 in his homeland was Suspicious Minds, in 1969.
