On the night of April 21 to 22, Kendji Girac, under the influence of alcohol and drugs, shot himself in the chest. The singer was in his caravan, where his wife and daughter were also staying.
Last Monday, the investigation was officially closed by the courts. It is therefore probably no coincidence that Kendji Girac is speaking out for the first time today, on camera, on Instagram.
Visibly moved and a little stressed, the young man explains: “I want to apologize to you. I got into a spiral that I wouldn’t wish on anyone. I lost myself. My daughter almost lost her father. I want to ask for forgiveness, to apologize to those I have hurt, to whom I have caused pain. I never wanted that. My goal is to make people happy.”
“God gave me this second chance, it’s not for nothing. I am grateful to be able to benefit from this second chance and I intend to use it to make good decisions. I had to take care of myself and think to understand how I got there,” he adds, specifying that he also wanted to let justice work freely.
“It’s up to me now to show you who I am, to regain your trust. We need action and I will do everything to live up to it now,” concludes Kendji Girac.
