It’s the event of the summer in Sweden! The Åby World Grand Prix (Gr. I), scheduled for August 10 in Gothenburg, is a brand new race on the horse racing calendar. It will be run over 3,140 meters (horses aged 4 and over) and is quite unique in its genre because it will be run once every four years – like the Olympic Games. As for the prize money, 6 million Swedish crowns for the winner (or around 530,000 euros)… And just over a month before the race, the names of the first five guests have been revealed; and the least we can say is that the cast is already five stars! For France, Horsy Dreamwinner of the last Elitloppet (Gr. I) and more recently of the Prix René Ballière (Gr. I) at Vincennes, will set sail for Sweden, facing him, Francesco Zetnine times Group I winner, Jovialitythird in the 2024 Prix d’Amérique, Without Enginewho made a superb return last week after six months of absence, without forgetting High On Pepperdauphin d’Izoard Vedacquais in the 2024 Harper Hanovers (Gr. I), the last weekend in May at Solvalla.
