Dressed all in pink: Robbie Williams is shocked to no longer be recognized in the street

Robbie Williams was devastated when no one recognized him, dressed all in pink, as he walked through central London. At least that’s what he says in a video released by his wife.

Robbie Williams has spoken of his disappointment at being able to walk around London without being recognized. The 50-year-old singer has enjoyed immense success as a member of the band Take That and as a solo artist. He has sold more than 75 million records worldwide, but has his fame faded?

As he walked unrecognised through Hyde Park in the British capital on Sunday, Robbie Williams had some questions about his star status! His wife Ayda Field filmed the singer looking less than happy as they were walking home from dinner together. Williams complained: “It’s very worrying. We’re walking back through Hyde Park. I’m dressed all in pink. I’ve got pink trainers. I’ve got diamond sunglasses and absolutely no one has recognised me or bothered me,” he lamented.

And he admitted, honestly: “I really need them to do it.” However, the observation is bitter. “It wasn’t like that in the 90s,” he noted.

Ayda Field continued to film the star lying on the grass and waving to passersby, but the audience still didn’t recognize him. Wounded in his ego, but keeping his sense of humor, Robbie Williams has not given up on wanting to be recognized in the street. Tuesday June 25 (24), the two spouses took to the streets of Kensington to see if any fans would recognize him. This time, the Let Me Entertain You singer wore a vest with his name written on the back. Good news: people can read! Robbie Williams was therefore delighted to see fans lining up to ask for selfies with him. Ayda Field shared the images on her Instagram feed, writing that the star was “back in the game.”

And to think that some artists complain about their fame and go so far as to fight with paparazzi!
