With Forever, American hard FM icon Bon Jovi releases his 16th album. If it does not equal its past monuments, this disc nevertheless demonstrates know-how and will seduce with certain well-felt pearls.

40 years is worth celebrating! Indeed, Bon Jovi can rejoice in the canonical age of their first album, with which success smiled upon them. In addition to releasing a documentary in his glory, the Americans are releasing their 16th album, entitled Forever.

More marked by a desire to show one’s know-how than by a desire for renewal, Forever is difficult to compare with the cornerstones that are Slippery When Wet Or New Jersey. Nevertheless, this new offering defends itself with sincerity, and sets the tone from its opening, “Legendary”, which was also its first single. With catchy choruses and a stadium power-ballad atmosphere, this track denotes a desire to be catchy while remaining nuanced.

A feeling that runs through the album, which retains a certain melancholy, both in its ballads such as “Kiss the Bride” and in its slightly more down-to-earth tracks such as “The People’s House”.

If Bon Jovi marked by his hits, he shows that he keeps the recipe. Thus, guitarist Phil We will also remember “Walls of Jericho” and its strong stadium rock atmosphere.

Aware of his heritage and the fact that it is behind him, Bon Jovi continues to walk the path he himself has traced. The result is a neat and pleasant record, which will delight fans of dear Jon’s characteristic grain of voice.
