Télématin: Thomas Sotto apologizes after a big mistake during his interview with Marine Le Pen (VIDEO)

Telematin makes his mea culpa. This Tuesday, June 4, Thomas Sotto received Marine Le Pen for her interview with 4V. The president of the RN group in the National Assembly was notably invited to react to a controversy surrounding her party following a campaign poster for the European elections featuring a gendarme: “I am a police officer, on June 9, I vote for Bardella!“A poster which pushed Christian Rodriguez, the director of the national gendarmerie, to clarify things on Twitter:”You seem to be unaware that military status prohibits this type of message. And the least we can expect is for you to respect the gendarme and his status, in these periods when his commitment can lead him to the worst consequences. This message is unacceptable.

“We distributed a false poster”

However, during her interview with Marine Le Pen, the teams of Telematin distributed another poster where it was written: “I am a police officer, on June 9, I leave Corsica!“A big mistake on the part of the morning France 2, since this poster comes from a parody account. Therefore, later in the show, Thomas Sotto apologized to the viewers of Telematin : “We talked about the controversy over the gendarmes, about this campaign poster earlier, “I am a gendarme, on June 9, I vote for Bardella”, which caused the national gendarmerie to react. By mistake, we distributed a false poster, a poster which was doctored, which was a false document. We apologize for this poster which alluded to Corsica, which has nothing to do with the official campaign of the National Rally.“ June 2, 2024
