While Celine Dion prepares her return to the forefront with an event documentary dedicated to her, a certain Michel Drucker was questioned by a major French magazine. He took the opportunity to give his feelings about the period the interpreter of “On ne change pas” went through, while distilling crucial information about his temperament away from the cameras. Explanations.

Stiff person syndrome. It is this pathology, still rare and unknown, and therefore very difficult to treat, against which Céline Dion fights tirelessly. Limited in her voice and in her movements, the fifty-year-old went through very delicate moments, so much so that she has not been able to go on stage since 2019. But now, she wants to turn the page.

Celine Dion ill, the clear opinion of Michel Drucker

On June 25, “I Am: Céline Dion” will be released, a documentary event in which the artist, courageously, decided to lift the veil on the illness that has been gnawing at her for several years now. In one of the trailers, she sets the tone and hides nothing of the hardships she endures:

I have to admit, it’s a real struggle. I miss it so much. I miss the public. When I can’t run, I walk. And when I can’t walk, I crawl…

These words, certainly terrible, do not frighten Michel Drucker. Close to the singer, whom he met since his arrival in France and whom he has seen evolve over the years, the sacred monster of the PAF responded to VSD’s request. Céline Dion recounts her first time with René Angelil, in 1988: “I had…”

Céline Dion is a force of nature, a warrior, an athlete too, she has an iron will and she will do anything to come back. But his illness is not nothing…

That’s not nothing, of course, and that’s even an understatement. But after a period of astonishment, Céline Dion is determined to overcome the immense obstacle that stands before her. Determined to return to the stage, she now adopts a positive attitude, as reflected in her comments to “Vogue” magazine recently:

Five days a week I do athletic, physical and vocal therapy. I work on my toes as well as my knees, calves, fingers, singing, voice… This is the condition with which I must learn to live now by stopping questioning myself.

I started by saying to myself: “Why me? What happened ? What did I do ? Am I responsible? » Life doesn’t give you answers. You simply have to live it! I chose to work with all my body and all my soul, from head to toe with a medical team. I want to be my best self. My goal is to see the Eiffel Tower again!

Much more solid than some believe at first glance, and noted by a mentality certainly powerful but already severely tested by the loss of René Angelil, Céline Dion hopes to see the end of the tunnel. His objective remains the same: to return to the stage and the audience, for a moment that would be magical in emotion. This is obviously all we wish for the Canadian, who is undoubtedly missing from the song.
