A manager of BIG PLANET MADE Entertainment allegedly leaked the contact details of several artists from the agency, including Taemin (SHINee), Lee Seung Gi, VIVIZ, as well as other SHINee members, as loan guarantee.

On October 16, One Hundred, the parent company of BIG PLANET MADE Entertainment, released a statement on the matter, revealing:

“A manager affiliated with Big Planet, ‘A’, took out small loans from over 40 illegal moneylending companies using contact numbers stored on his mobile phone as collateral. When he failed to repay these loans, the illegal lenders contacted the phone numbers used as collateral and began threatening him. »

The agency also explained that loan sharks from illegal money lending companies started threatening ‘A”s contacts to resolve his financial problems on his behalf. ‘A’ allegedly passed around 1,200 phone numbers to lenders, including contact details of affiliated artists, staff members and former workplace contacts. BIG PLANET MADE Entertainment’s artist roster currently includes Taemin, Lee Seung Gi, Lee Mu Jin, Huh Gak, Lee Soo Geun, Bi-o, VIVIZ, and BADVILLAIN.

The company officially declared:

“Illegal money lenders leave threatening messages for Big Planet Made employees. We are taking this situation very seriously and are preparing legal action and a police complaint against illegal lenders who continue to call threatening employees and artists. We sincerely apologize for this influx of innocent victims due to the mistakes of an employee who worked with us. Once again, we sincerely apologize to those whose personal information was disclosed due to the actions of an employee, and we will do everything possible to resolve this situation. »

Let’s hope for everyone that everything goes well and that the police can intervene.
