On October 4, 2024, Iron Maiden kicked off the North American leg of their The Future Past Tour in Chula Vista, California. With a 15-song set, the legendary band once again demonstrated why they remain one of the major forces in global Heavy Metal.

A setlist focused on the past and the present

The Future Past tour highlights two key albums from Iron Maiden’s career: Senjutsu (2021) and the 1986 classic Somewhere in Time. These two discs represent two thirds of the set, supplemented by tracks from five other emblematic albums of the group. Among the highlights of the concert, the live performance of Alexander the Great particularly marked the fans, a legendary title which has practically never been played on stage.

Iron Maiden, still led by the tireless Bruce Dickinson, proves that age is just a number. At 66, Dickinson is in brilliant form, hitting all the high notes with the same fiery passion as when she started. The rest of the band, too, delivers an energy that seems to defy time, which explains why Iron Maiden has continued to dominate the scene for so many years.

  • Caught Somewhere in Time
  • Stranger in a Strange Land
  • The Writing on the Wall
  • Days of Future Past
