This year, many films will celebrate their 30th anniversary! Since then, when we talk about the cult French films that rocked the 90s, the drama with Saïd Taghmaoui, Vincent Cassel and Hubert Koundé is one of the first that comes to mind. For many spectators, Hate will never be equaled since he is the pillar of French-speaking suburban cinema.
Seven
30 years ago, David Fincher directed his second feature film, Seven. This psychological thriller immediately won the hearts of audiences and critics. At that time, the filmmaker was only working with Brad Pitt for the first time. The duo later worked together on Fight Club in 1999 and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button in 2008.
Heat
This year, Heat by Micheal Mann will celebrate its 30th anniversary. With a cast including Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Val Kilmer and Tom Sizemore, the film is considered by millions of movie fans around the world to be a true masterpiece. A second opus which will explore the youth and past of Neil McCauley, Vincent Hanna and Chris Shiherlis, is in production.
Braveheart
Among the most memorable war and revenge films, we of course note Braveheart with Mel Gibson. We all still remember the glorious path and destiny of William Wallacehero of Scottish independence in the 13th century. Please note that on October 4, the historical drama will also celebrate its 30th anniversary!
Before Sunrise
Yes, we wouldn’t say so, but It will soon be 30 years since Jesse and Céline met on a train between Budapest and Vienna.
