The seasonal flu epidemic has strengthened throughout France in recent days, according to Public Health France (SPF). Faced with the massive influx of patients suffering from respiratory viruses, more than twenty hospital centers have decided to trigger the white plan in order to strengthen their services, report several regional dailies.
According to the latest SPF bulletin, published on Thursday January 2, the flu epidemic has strengthened in cities and in hospitals in all age groups. The epidemic now affects all departments in France.
Overseas, the epidemic is raging in Martinique, while Guadeloupe and Guyana are in the “pre-epidemic” phase.
In view of this situation, hospitals are trying to find solutions to deal with the influx of new patients and to put in place additional resources.
According to various regional daily newspapers, at least 21 establishments were forced to trigger their white plan in order to strengthen their teams.
We can cite Aubenas and Annonay (Ardèche), Romans-sur-Isère (Drôme), Cholet (Maine-et-Loire), Lons-le-Saunier (Jura), Center Brittany in Noyal-Pontivy (Morbihan), Vannes and Ploemel (Morbihan), Avignon, Carpentras and Cavaillon (Vaucluse), Laval (Mayenne), Abbeville (Somme), Toulon, La Seyne-sur-Mer and Hyères (Var), Épinal, Remiremont and Neufchâteau/Vittel (Vosges), Dieppe (Seine-Maritime) and Nantes (Loire-Atlantique).
