L'amour ouf, Gladiator 2 and Vaiana 2 largely contribute to the very good figure revealed this morning by the CNC, National Center for Cinema and Animated Images: 17.69 million admissions in theaters in November 2024.
This is the second best score this year 2024, just behind July (17.83 million). Compared to November 2023, the increase is spectacular: +16.6%! As a result, over the first eleven months of the year, the delay is only -1.3% compared to January-November 2023.
Olivier Henrard, president of the CNC (interim): “It's the success of our national productions, without equivalent in Europe with 46% market share, which allows 2024 attendance to return to last year's figures despite the weakness of American films. And the excellent result for this month of November confirms it again: it is a French film which occupies first place in the ranking, “L'Amour ouf”, moreover financed both by historical channels and by a platform , which demonstrates in passing our ability to acculturate the major global broadcasters to our system of cultural exception.“
