Be careful if you have purchased or consumed this cheese made in Lozère. He is recalled throughout France.
It's a cheese from Rissoan dairywell known in this department. Created in 1948 in Lucby the brothers of the same name, it notably markets Sourire Lozérien cheese.
By the piece or by the cut
the recalled product is the “2 kg sheep’s milk tomme de Lozère”. It has been sold by the piece, but also by the cut, since November 14, 2024.
During checks, Listeria monocytogenes was detected. It is the causative agent of listeriosis.
“People who have consumed the product mentioned above and who present fever, isolated or accompanied by headache, and body achesare invited to consult their treating physician by reporting this consumption,” warns the official Conso Reminder website.
“Serious forms with neurological complications and maternal or fetal damage in pregnant women can also sometimes occur. Pregnant women as well as immunocompromised people and the elderly must be particularly attentive to these symptoms. Listeriosis is a disease that can be serious and have an incubation period of up to eight weeks.
You should also no longer consume this cheese, “contact the point of sale” and “destroy the product”.

Lozère tommette with sheep's milk 300 g of the same brand is also affected by this recall for the same reasons.
Customers who purchased these two cheeses will be reimbursed.
