The next part of the MonsterVerse gets a release date

Last April, we revealed to you that the series Monarch : Legacy of Monsters had been renewed for a second season, which is great news for fans of the MonsterVerse. And more recently, the kaiju franchise made another announcement that should delight more than one, revealing the release date of the next feature film.

Godzilla x Kong Sequel Already Announced?

Launched in 2014 with the film Godzillathe MonsterVerse has since grown considerably, producing feature films, but also series, whether live-action or animated. And the latest installment of the franchise, namely Godzilla x Kong: The New Kingdom released in April this year, was a real success as it collected more than 567 million dollars at the global box office, allowing it to currently position itself in 3rd place on the podium, behind Dune: Part Two et Vice-Versa 2.

A great performance that allows it not only to be the most profitable of the MonsterVerse, but also of the Godzilla franchise.. Results which seem to bode well for the future of the MonsterVerse, and this is why Warner Bros., which shares the franchise with Legendary Pictures and Toho, recently gave news concerning future projects, notably revealing the date of release of the next MonsterVerse feature film.

Indeed, as reported by Variety, The next film in the MonsterVerse, whose title is still unknown to this day, is already scheduled for March 2027.. Given the release date, we can easily assume that this is the sequel to Godzilla x Kongsince fans also had to wait three years between the 2024 film and the previous part, Godzilla vs Kongreleased in 2021.

As mentioned at the start of the article, the MonsterVerse continues to expand, both in terms of feature films, but also by producing other projects, notably various types of series. We will then think of the series Monarch : Legacy of Monstersor even the animated series Skull Island. In any case, one thing is certain, is that the kaijus of the MonsterVerse still have bright days ahead of them.
