Renée Zellweger reprises her role as an awkward and endearing spinster in the trailer for the 4th and final installment of the saga

After years of waiting, the fourth “Bridget Jones” film, entitled “Mad About Him”, still starring actress Renée Zellweger, is about to arrive in cinemas. In the trailer, the most awkward and endearing single girl makes a return that promises to be full of laughter and tears.

The first trailer for “Bridget Jones: Mad About Him” was revealed this Tuesday. In this fourth installment of the successful comedy series starring Renée Zellweger, the clumsy and endearing Bridget Jones, now 52 years old, finds herself single again, after the death of her husband Mark (Colin Firth) who died during a a humanitarian mission in Sudan, and must raise two young children alone. Pushed by those close to her, she tries to regain a foothold in her professional and romantic life.

Directed by Michael Morris and written by Helen Fielding (author of the eponymous novels), Dan Mazer and Abi Morgan, this fourth (and last, according to the trailer) part of the saga, which promises great moments of humor but also of emotion, questions parenthood, celibacy, mourning, and love at a mature age and is marked by the return of Hugh Grant (who plays Bridget's former lover) and Emma Thompson (as a gynecologist), and there first appearance of Leo Woodall (“The White Lotus”) as Bridget's new love interest.

“Mad About Him” follows “Bridget Jones's Diary” (2001), “Bridget Jones: The Age of Reason” (2004) and “Bridget Jones Baby” (2016), which together grossed more than 800 million dollars worldwide (754 million euros).
