American actor Matt Bomer returned to one of the most scathing setbacks of his career, the episode of the casting of Superman. According to him, it was his claimed homosexuality which would have prevented him from playing the superhero.

“I went to a call for applications to play Superman, with auditions going on for a month. In 2006, it was Brandon Routh who finally played the DC superhero in Bryan Singer’s Superman Returns, followed by Henry Cavill in Man of Steel, Batman v Superman and Justice League. A new film with a brand new actor in the costume is expected for summer 2025.
