A Wars marathon takes place this Saturday May 4 and Sunday May 5 in . To mark the 25th anniversary of the first film, the UGC cinema is screening all nine films. Some fans come in the costume of their favorite character.

On the occasion of World Star Wars Day, the UGC cinécité in Strasbourg is organizing, like eight other theaters in , a marathon, with the screening of the nine films in the series, between Saturday May 4 and Sunday May 5.

Lucas films celebrates World Star Wars Day on May 4 under the slogan “May the 4th Be With You” (read May the force with youthat’s to say May the force be with you).

The celebrations begin this Saturday at 10:20 a.m. until 2:18 a.m. Resumption Sunday at 10:35 a.m. until 7 p.m. The screenings follow each other with a quarter-hour break before the next episode resumes. In total there are 33h47 of films in total, without advertising.

In Strasbourg, for the 25th anniversary of the release of episode one “The Phantom Menace” (released after episodes 3, 4 and 5), fans of the double trilogy are already packed. We’re off to a distant galaxy, where humans coexist with many extraterrestrial species.

Among the 35 million spectators, since the first film of the first trilogy in 1977, Elliot, came with friends: “We are big fans, we love this saga. I didn’t have the chance to see the first films in the cinema, so now is the opportunity to make up for that.”

Same enthusiasm for Maxime “I’ve been a fan of this saga since I was little, my father showed it to me when I was three or four years old. It remained engraved in my memory. Laurent Baratta, director of the UGC, has been on deck with his teams since 7 hours. “The idea was initiated by Disney, which chose nine theaters in France, including the UGC Ciné Cité in Strasbourg. We said yes straight away because we have a very large fan base in Strasbourg and because we are the fifth largest cinema in France in terms of reception capacity and attendance.”
