Diamniadio, May 18 (APS) – The Prime Minister, Ousmane Sonko, opened on Saturday in Diamniadio, the work of an interministerial council dedicated to the preparation of exams and competitions in the education and training sector for the year 2023-2024.

In addition to the Prime Minister and the Minister of National Education, several members of the Government, officials, specialists and technical and financial partners in the sector took part in the opening of this interministerial council on exams and competitions.

Speaking at the opening of the meeting, the Minister of National Education, Moustapha Guirassy recalled that the new authorities of Senegal attach “capital importance” to the education system.

He also expressed the government’s ambition to evolve the Senegalese education system towards “an inclusive and efficient educational society” by 2035.

“We must evolve our education system towards an inclusive and efficient educational society by 2035,” he insisted at the opening of this Interministerial Council which is being held in the premises of his ministry in Diamniadio, some 30 km east of Dakar.

This future inclusive and efficient educational society, by 2035, aims to train a Senegalese citizen “well-backed by its endogenous base of African and spiritual values, prepared for the challenges of sustainable development, digital sciences and technologies and intelligence artificial,” explained the Minister of National Education.
