After a very disrupted mid-week due to the passage of Storm Kirk over , weather conditions should improve for the start of this new week.

A brief clearing in sight. The past week was marked by several disruptions, including the famous Kirk storm which forced the authorities to place the departments of Seine-et- and Eure-et-Loir on red alert for “floods”. .

Since then, the rainy days have followed one another. Until this Saturday, October 12, precipitation affected several departments in the north and south of France, due to a deterioration which arrived via the Atlantic during the night from Friday to Saturday.

The rise in mercury is already affecting the southwest of the country this Sunday, October 13. Indeed, it is in that we find the highest temperatures in France with maximums reaching 28°C during the day. Then, we should record 27°C in and 25°C in .

On this momentum, should benefit, during the day of Monday October 14, from the best temperatures, the maximums sometimes exceeding 25°C and approaching 27°C. The sun should continue to shine above the Biarritz sky with the thermometer showing 26°C in mid-afternoon.

Elsewhere, central France should be affected by this rise in temperatures this Monday despite some showers present in and Chalon-sur-Saône.

The maximums should be between 21°C and 26°C in this area with 21°C in , 23°C in Auxerre and , 24°C in and 26°C in .

Temperatures falling slightly on Thursday

During the day of Tuesday October 15, the rise in temperatures should particularly affect the southern half of France.

In Corsica, the maximums should soar and record 28°C. Same observation also in Bordeaux, Biarritz and Tarbes where the thermometer should display 27°C.

Wednesday October 16 should be a sunny day across the entire country, with the exception of the North-West and South-East where disturbances should be back.

In terms of mercury, it is the center of France which should benefit from the highest temperatures of the day. We should find 26°C in Auxerre, Bourges and Vichy. The region should benefit from dry weather below 23°C, just like the Lyon region where the temperature should reach 24°C.

From Thursday October 17, a rainy disturbance should affect France and precipitation should affect the entire territory, with the exception of Corsica which, thanks to its 29°C, should continue to benefit from clearings.

In mainland France, temperatures will be above 20°C. They should be between 20°C and 23°C. On the other hand, next Friday and Saturday, the drop in temperatures should continue, due to the disturbance the day before.
