England's George Eastham, 1966 World Cup winner, dies

George Eastham has died aged 88, his former club Stoke City announced on Friday. The former England international won the World Cup at home in 1966, beating West Germany (4-2). It is the first, and to date, only world title for the England team. Eastham was capped 19 times for the national team, with which he scored 2 goals.
