During the night of Friday October 11 to Saturday October 12, a hunting premises was completely destroyed by a fire. A meeting place for hunters since 1991, it is located in an isolated place, the des Priests, one kilometer from any habitation.

Following the first observations made by the scientific police teams, the criminal trail is favored by the investigators. The fire apparently broke out between 1:30 a.m. and 2 a.m. on Saturday 12. The firefighters intervened around 2:30 a.m. and could only note the total destruction of the premises. The hunting room, a 45 m² wooden frame building, served as a meeting place before and after hunting trips. It was not connected to the electricity network and simply furnished.

Michel Barberet, president of the Marnay – Cult Intercommunal Hunting Association, which brings together around forty hunters, expresses his sadness: “It’s a shame for the elders who built this premises with their own hands. We will rebuild it. »
