After three years of trials for incompetence and a stinging failure in the presidential election, Anne Hidalgo finally got her revenge. The success of the Games, the mayor of Paris saw it as a personal success, and a victory in the “cultural battle” that the right and the far right have delivered to her. But #SaccageParis and Rachida Dati were not the only ones to rub her the plank: she also settles her scores with the macronie, who thought that the capital was hers.
