West Nile Virus: “Human” Cases Confirmed

#HERAULT AND GARD. The Hérault prefecture confirmed, this Friday, September 5, three cases of “strong suspicion” of cases of horses affected by the West Nile virus, West Nile, in Mauguio, Lattes and Lansargues, information revealed Wednesday by Midi Libre. The authorities mention two deaths.

The virus has also struck in the Gard in Vauvert, in Petite Camargue. The Gard prefecture and the ARS have announced that “as part of the systematic screening carried out during blood donations, two indigenous cases of human infection with the West Nile virus were recently identified in Vauvert. The state of health of these patients did not require hospitalization.”
The Gard Departmental Directorate for the Protection of Populations (DDPP) has also received confirmation of a positive case of the virus concerning a horse in Vauvert whose first symptoms dated back to the beginning of August. This horse has since died from this disease.

A Béziers resident at The Voice Kids

#TELEVISION This Saturday, September 7, for the fourth blind auditions session of the show The Voice Kids, a 16-year-old from Béziers, Ambroise, will sing in front of the four members of the jury. “I like several styles, like rap, slam and French variety.
