At 10 p.m. on Monday evening, the thermometer had dropped only 4 degrees compared to the day. So it was 30 degrees even as the sun was setting. And at 4 a.m., the temperature was barely lower: 29.1 degrees. Only a few hourly fringes allowed to blow at 27 degrees, says the Fabra Observatory. But not enough to escape the phenomenon of tropical nights, which start from 25 degrees.
Last night adds to the previous one, just as tropical. And the next should not go well, announces the Meteorological Service of Catalonia (Meteocat): “It will be difficult to reconcile sleep since it is already 1 or 2 degrees warmer than yesterday, at the same time, this Tuesday August 22”. Barcelona is under heat wave alert.
