This positive dynamic is accompanied by a significant increase in the market value of landed products, which jumped 36% to reach 290.473 million dirhams.

Pelagic fish dominate this growth with a 27% rebound in catches, totaling 19,924 tonnes, or a value of 94.160 million dirhams (+39%). Cephalopods and crustaceans also showed respective increases of 11% and 94%, demonstrating a favorable dynamic for the local economy. On the other hand, catches of white fish saw a slight drop of 5%, amounting to 1,052 tonnes.

At the national level, landings of coastal and artisanal fishing products reached 1,336,058 tonnes in 2024, recording a slight decrease of 1% compared to 2023.
