The Association specifies that several technical and procedural difficulties complicate the release of other detainees in Algerian prisons. The Association deplored the ordeal suffered by Moroccan detainees in Algeria while pledging to denounce the abuses of which they are victims before international forums, including the World Congress on Enforced Disappearances from January 15 to 16.
The Association continues to work to determine the fate of the missing Moroccans in Algeria as well as the restitution of six corpses.
The Association states in conclusion of its press release that it “will spare no effort in denouncing these mafias and intermediaries who make the miseries of families their business”, and that it will continue its actions on a voluntary basis for the release of detainees who are candidates for illegal immigration not only in Algeria but also in Tunisia, Libya and Turkey.
