From the Moselle to the roof of Europe, it is an incredible epic experienced by 10 young people from the region. Thanks to the specialized prevention services of CMSEA and Planet Aventure Organization, together they climbed more than 4,000m to reach the Monte Rosa massif, in the Alps. A story told by a documentary “MONT-BLANC PROJECT 2024, ASCENSION TOWARDS THE FUTURE” broadcast this Wednesday evening at the Kinepolis in Saint-Julien-lès-Metz.
If we had told them one day that they would reach the summit of the Vincent pyramid on Monte Rosa at an altitude of 4,215m, they would never have believed it. However, Erdem, Kim, Illiana and even Mohamed succeeded in this gigantic challenge. For a year, they prepared themselves physically and mentallywith the support of the Mosellan Committee for the Protection of Children, Adolescence and Adults (CMSEA) and the Planet Aventure Organization. A story of surpassing oneself, sharing and discovery, recounted in a documentary directed by Aleksandar Dzerdz of RDC production.
On screen, we discover Sara in particular. At 18, she says she was transformed by this experience. “It made me grow, gave me confidence in myself and in others”she testifies. “It’s truly a profound transformation. When we face the elements, we are very small, but we emerge really big”adds Jean-Marc Baldinger, partly at the initiative of the project.
And now ?
The screening had not even taken place yet when new ambitions were already taking shape. After the roof of Europe, the roof of the world could be the next goal for other young people. ” Why notreplies the director of SEMN. Let's be crazy! It would be another step with meeting the populations to reach the base camp.” If the organizers are holding nothing back, the attention remains on these 10 young people who have, each in their own way, pushed their limits. Later, the time will come for the long way of the cross to raise the necessary funds from public and private partners.
