Think about it: the census is now!

The population census in began on January 16 and will continue until February 22, 2025.

The census is an essential operation to better understand the demographic evolution of the city. It will make it possible to better understand the needs of residents and plan suitable projects. This year, these are no less than 974 households, or 8% Chaumontais housing, which will be in demand. The residents concerned will receive an official letter explaining the terms of this citizen approach.

Online or paper version

In a context of modernity and ecology, the municipality encourages online response, simpler and faster for its residents. But for those who prefer it, or who don't have access to the Internet, enumerators can visit households upon request. In addition to submitting a paper questionnaire, these agents, bound by professional secrecy, will be able to assist participants who wish to do so in their process.

Participating in the census is much more than a simple formality. Data collected via residents' responses guide local decisions for example, to improve infrastructure, public services, or even equipment. In short, each response contributes to building the future of Chaumont.

Free

The town hall also reminds us of two things. Firstly, that the census is completely free, but also be wary of individuals or websites who could ask you for a financial contribution. If in doubt, contact your enumerator or city services directly.
