On the streets of the capital, the number of thermal cars has been in constant decline for years and, under the hood of those that continue to run, most of the engines have been improved. “In Paris, the trend is towards a reduction in road noise”confirms Fanny Mietlicki, director of Bruitparif, the organization responsible for measuring noise pollution in Ile-de-France.
Good news? Not only that. With a decreasing general sound level, the acoustic peaks are more audible and are even less bearable; by fading, the purring of cars brought to the fore occasional noise pollution from traffic (horns, sirens) and those linked to humans (music, terraces).
