In Eure, this hiking club will celebrate its 30th anniversary

Members of the association Andelle hikes were gathered on Sunday January 5, 2025 in the Charles IX room of Charleval (Eure) for the general meeting.

President Philippe Petit welcomed the fifty members who had responded.

A little fewer members

In his moral report, he returned to the drop in membership at the opening of the 2024-2025 season with 52 members compared to 63 last year.

Then, he returned to the events which marked this season, notably the hike to the Tourbières d'Heurteauville, the Cadrans Solaires outing in Paris in March with the transport setbacks, the Grande Randonnée vers Paris organized by the FFRandonnée for the 2024 Olympics with the participation of 4 members, the weekend in the Alpes Mancelles, the stay in Piriac-sur-Mer, the visit to the chocolate factory Cluizel, the freedom marches with Vexin Rando in August, the bus trip to Vaux-le-Vicomte, the Charleval fair, Pink October and the end-of-year meal in Elbeuf for the enfants terribles.

Philippe Petit thanked the municipality of Charleval “for its financial support through the annual subsidy but also through the provision of a bus”, without forgetting the municipalities of Romilly-sur-Andelle and Vandrimare and also this year Crédit Agricole Normandy Seine for the purchase of two umbrellas and umbrellas (distributed at the end of the session to members).

30 years already!

Then it's time for the projects for this new year, which will be added to the Sunday outings: a week's stay in Annecy, a weekend at the Morvan lakes, a bus trip to the Valloires abbey…

And above all, this year 2025 will be the club’s 30th anniversary. See you on November 1st at the Calvo room in Pont-Saint-Pierre.

The hikers also mentioned some plans for 2026: a weekend in Granville and the bay of Mont-Saint-Michel as well as a stay in Najac in Aveyron.

At the end of the meeting, the steering committee was re-elected as well as the office, before sharing the traditional galette des Rois.
