Swiss League: La Chaux-de-Fonds returns to the top of the standings

For the first time since December 6, La Chaux-de-Fonds occupies the lead in the Swiss League. The Neuchâtelois dislodged Basel by dominating the Rhinelanders 6-3 in the summit match.

In front of 4,097 spectators, the foreigners from the Mélèzes team played a decisive role in this victory. Andersons thus scored a hat-trick while Pu and Owre also scored a goal each.

Basel opened the scoring through Stukel after 9’06 of play, but Andersons equalized 35 seconds later. The same player once again cut the visitors’ legs by scoring 4-3 in the 27th minute, 34 seconds after the Rhenish equalizer.

The HCC now has 90 points, compared to 88 for the Basel team. Each team must play four more matches before the end of the regular season.
