The Director General of National Security (DGSN) and Territorial Surveillance (DGST), Mr. Abdellatif Hammouchi, received, Monday in Rabat, the Acting Inspector General of Police at the Pakistani Ministry of the Interior, Mr. . Salman Choudhry, on a working visit to Morocco at the head of a large security delegation.
The two sides examined various aspects of bilateral cooperation in the security field, as well as ways to promote this cooperation and expand its areas, with the aim of coordinating common efforts to address security challenges, including in the fight against irregular migration and human trafficking networks, notably following the recent sinking of a boat off the coast of Dakhla which caused the death of several Pakistani nationals, indicates a press release from the DGSN-DGST Pole.
This meeting was an opportunity for the Pakistani official to express the thanks and gratitude of the high authorities of his country in Morocco, for the intervention and rescue actions deployed in favor of Pakistani nationals, victims of an international network irregular migration.

Likewise, the discussions of the two parties focused on the importance of strengthening cooperation in the fight against terrorism, taking into account the increased terrorist threats which threaten the security of the two countries given their geographical proximity to hotbeds of tension where Groups affiliated with Al-Qaeda and Daesh are active.
They also discussed the prospects for developing the level of bilateral security cooperation, through the exchange of experiences, expertise and good practices, as well as the exchange of data in the fight against risks and threats. to the security of both countries and their citizens.
