“Eleven units of the Barcelona Fire Brigade worked to extinguish a fire on the Energy Dock, where one person died and another was seriously injured,” the Catalan city’s firefighters said on their X account.

The incident occurred in the area where the company Terminales Portuarias SL (Tepsa) operates and affected a “methyl acetate” tank which exploded during maintenance work, according to the Civil Protection Service of Catalonia.
