The “Youth Pass” is a free application launched by the supervisory ministry for the benefit of young Moroccans aged 16 to 30, offering discounts, free offers and other advantages, aiming to facilitate young people’s access to a multitude of cultural services, sports as well as services of transport andaccommodation.
On this occasion, Mr. Bensaid indicated that this project, initiated three years ago in Rabat, begins a new important phase today, thus reflecting “our commitment to Moroccan youth”, emphasizing that the “Youth Pass” is not only a tool for providing services, but also “a response to the expectations and aspirations of millions of young people” by encouraging their economic integration and the unification of public policies in their favor with a view to concretely contributing to the development of Morocco and its economy.
The minister also noted the economic impact of the “Youth Pass”, particularly in the banking sector, allowing an improvement in the standard of living of young Moroccans and providing access to numerous opportunities, noting that more than 250,000 young people are currently registered on the application, benefiting from cultural, sporting and leisure services.
He stressed that the services, initially available in Rabat and Salé, are now accessible in all cities in the Kingdom, thanks to an expansion which has allowed wider access to culture, sport, transport, training, health and many other essential services, thanks to an exemplary partnership between the youth sector, regional councils, public institutions and the private sector.
The objective is to reach 2.6 million young people by 2026, out of a total of 8.5 million targeted by this project, said Mr. Bensaid, adding that the promising results of the pilot phase demonstrate confidence mutual between young people and institutions.
-Mr. Bensaid also emphasized the importance of developing this initiative to meet the needs of young people in all regions of the Kingdom, noting that this project aims to unite efforts and offer equal opportunities to all young people, with the support of regional councils to strengthen the proximity of services and their adaptation to local specificities.
For their part, many young people who benefited from the “Youth Pass” expressed their satisfaction with the generalization of the services offered by this initiative, underlining the importance of this approach respectful of their specific needs and their aspirations for more accessible solutions. and digital, praising the opportunities offered, particularly in entrepreneurship and visiting historical sites and museums with ease.
The ceremony announcing the generalization of the “Youth Pass” on a national scale was marked by artistic performances and detailed presentations on the various services offered by this application.
