The Yvelines department is mobilizing in the face of the scourge of drug trafficking with the implementation of an innovative and structured departmental plan, developed by the Prefect of Yvelines, Frédéric Rose, and the Public Prosecutor of Versailles, Maryvonne Caillibotte. This plan, in response to national directives, embodies an ambitious and integrated local strategy aimed at reducing the impact of drugs on our territory.
Drug trafficking, a source of violence, crime and social disorder, is a major challenge in Yvelines, amplified by the proximity of Paris and strategic roads. This plan aims to counter the entire trafficking chain, from production to consumption, by targeting both criminal networks and risky behavior.
Since 2023, Yvelines has recorded significant progress, with a 20% drop in deal points and more than 6,100 fixed tort fines issued in 2024. The actions carried out as part of this plan aim to continue this dynamic to guarantee a safer territory.
-The prefect of Yvelines and the public prosecutor of Versailles reaffirm their determination to combat this phenomenon by relying on reinforced cooperation between state services, communities and local actors. This long-term fight requires the commitment of all to protect the most vulnerable, particularly young people, and guarantee the safety of our fellow citizens.
