A fish stall owner attacked in Casablanca: investigation opened

The Casablanca security services promptly reacted, Sunday, January 19, to the broadcast on social networks of a video which shows a woman, employed in the city’s fish market, with visible traces of injuries on her face, claiming having been the victim of a violent physical attack.

Initial investigations carried out by local authorities revealed that this case is currently being handled by the Derb Omar police station. According to the information collected, the dispute pitted the alleged victim, a young woman of 17 years old, against a minor of the same age. Both parties accuse each other of assault and battery, suggesting a violent exchange whose circumstances remain to be clarified.

Elements of the investigation suggest that the attack would have involved the use of bladed weapons and blunt objects, making the facts particularly serious. These accusations highlight a situation of escalating violence in a busy public space, causing great concern among the local population.
