On January 19, 2025, an incident shook Casablanca when a video showing a woman being attacked was broadcast on social media. The current investigation reports mutual complaints of physical violence between the victim and a minor, supervised by the attorney general.

The Casablanca Security Wilaya quickly reacted to an incident widely reported on social networks, where a video circulated showing a woman with traces of blood on her face. In this video, the woman, who works in a fish market in Casablanca, claims to have been the victim of a physical attack. She accuses an individual of having violently attacked her, and the scene sparked a strong reaction from Internet users.

Following this publication, the competent authorities carried out investigations to clarify the circumstances of the attack. It was determined that the case is linked to mutual complaints of assault and battery between the victim, the woman in question, and another person involved, a 17-year-old minor. According to initial information collected, the two parties accuse each other of having exercised physical violence on each other, using bladed weapons and blunt objects, which resulted in visible injuries on the victim.

Police investigators from the Anfa zone in Casablanca opened an in-depth investigation and began collecting the necessary evidence to elucidate all aspects of this case. Under the supervision of the King’s Attorney General at the Casablanca Court of Appeal, the authorities are carrying out all the necessary investigations to determine the exact circumstances of the incident, identify the responsibilities of each party and establish potential criminal acts.
