Tuesday, a man and a woman caused quite a mess at the Maison Solidarités, in the Vauban district of . According to the Nord departmental council, they attacked several agents and kidnapped two of their three children, placed in Child Welfare (ASE).

A 35-year-old woman went to the Maison Nord Solidarities on Tuesday for a supervised visit to her three children, who had been placed with the ASE. But the thirty-year-old did not come alone, accompanied by her partner who is also the father of the children. Except that the latter saw his visitation rights suspended “due to a previous incident”, specifies 20 Minutes the Lille public prosecutor's office.

“Ten departmental agents” attacked

According to the Nord department, the man “violently attacked ten departmental agents”, one of whom, in a “state of shock”, was hospitalized. During the altercation, the woman took the opportunity to flee with her youngest children, “aged 2 and 3 years old”, according to the prosecution. A gesture described by the institution as “kidnapping”.

Still according to the departmental council, the two children were found by the police this Wednesday morning and “immediately taken into care”. They were “safe and sound”, adds the prosecution. Both parents were arrested and taken into police custody. An investigation was opened for “violence against people entrusted with a public service mission and removal of minors by ascendancy”.

“The events that took place yesterday are unbearable. These acts are of incredible violence both for the young children kidnapped and both for our departmental agents,” said Christian Poiret, the president of the departmental council. He specified that “the attacked agents filed a complaint”.
