It ended in the penalty shootout lottery. But the Briochins frankly deserved to come out on top. First Briochin shooter, Beghin nevertheless saw Callens relax on the right side. But L’Hostis stopped Annecy’s second attempt, from the very young (19 years old) Bermont. And Cissé, the last opposing shooter, saw his shot hit the crossbar. A dream scenario for the Briochins.

However, it all started in the worst way when Tiendrébéogo, with a powerful free kick from twenty meters, found the top corner of L’Hostis (0-1, 10′). A cold snap, a real one, in the thick fog which covered the Fred-Aubert stadium.
But in front of the 4,591 spectators who came, the Briochins reacted quickly and generally delivered a great performance. Strikes from Zakharyan (15′) and Achahbar (19′) were blocked. That of Konan too, the Haut-Savoyard Delphis throwing himself in front of him while tackling (32′).
In the process, Zakharyan did not find the target from close range (37′, 39′). Proof of a certain domination of the Blues of Saint-Brieuc who frankly would have deserved to equalize before half-time. But it was therefore necessary to put the work back on the loom. Which was done, valiantly.

The very end, on the other hand, was again to the advantage of the Griffons, always the first on the balls, like Beghin. Launched into the area, Gomis was beaten by Delphis (90′). From a corner, Angoua smashed his header with gusto (90’+2). The penalty shootout finally came to decide between the resident of National 2 and that of Ligue 2. To the advantage of who you know.
