Moroccan teacher Messaud Ariba shines at the Global Teacher Awards held in New Delhi. He was awarded the prize on Saturday in the Indian capital, during the 2024 edition of this annual event celebrating educational excellence on an international scale.

A teacher at the Ibnou Aachir school group, reporting to the Provincial Directorate of Taroudant, Mr. Ariba is the only representative of the Arab world and North Africa to be among the winners of this edition. He stood out among thousands of applications from all over the world during this event initiated by “AKS Education”, an education research company based in India.

In a statement to MAP, Mr. Ariba said he was honored and happy with this distinction, the fruit of 25 years of work and commitment to education. This recognition, he considered, is a deserved tribute to the remarkable efforts of the men and women working to develop the education sector in the Kingdom.

“Since 1998, I have dedicated myself to improving learning, particularly in mathematics, through a fun approach that brings the concepts of this discipline closer to children,” he declared, specifying that his “Math Kids” project, awarded at this event, transforms the teaching of mathematics at the primary level into plays, thus facilitating learning through play.
