While, during the municipal council of October 2024 the majority wanted, despite the reluctance of the minority, renew for 5 yearsthe activity of little tourist train has Clissonit was only a month later that the Bochereau company, a subsidiary of Voisin transport, based in Gétignéwhich also has the market for the management of electric shuttle from the Clisson Sèvre et Maine agglomeration community, came to present the results of the 2023 activity.

As since his launch in 2018the little train rolled from Saturday April 15 until Sunday September 17 : the route linking the place du mining to Garenne-Lemot via Nid d'Oie and Porte-Palzaise to sound of the city's medieval history.

Less revenue, more spending

A season that was very far from forecasts. Indeed, where the town hall and its public service delegate were waiting revenue of 52,700 eurosthey will only have reached 45 900 euros. Mainly because the ticketing was almost half as much as expected (11,000 instead of 20,000 euros). THE expenses will also have been higher than forecasts : 53,100 instead of 50,500 euros. So much so that the community had to payr 33,000 euros instead of 29,000 to afford this service.

The company, however, recalled that “the price of the full ticket had fallen by 2 euros compared to 2022: from 6 to 4 euros, the reduced rate from 4 to 3 euros and the family rate from 15 to 10 euros to respond to an unfavorable economic context”.

The carrier also noted, as a positive point, the strong increase in groups (from 37%).

In the end, we actually welcomed 3,376 customers for 279 tours, an average number of 12 people. This result is higher than that of 2022 which was 8. After a fairly difficult summer of 2022, especially in July, the attractiveness of the little train has clearly recovered in 2023.

Transport Bochereau

A small consolation because the company which aimed 5,119 customers, representing 15.6 people on average per tour.

According to its leaders, service opening every day of the week in July and August remains “a commercial and tourist obviousness”, as well as weekends, public holidays, city festivities and bridge days.

This activity report did not provoke any new reactions from the opposition, considering that it had already given its opinion on the subject during the last session. In particular that of not agree to give such a long lease to this attraction.
