Tuesday January 7 around 3:30 p.m., firefighters were alerted to a chimney fire, near 1, Vieille-Route de Forbach in the Urselsbach district of Petite-Rosselle, in a two-story home. The fire fighters had to call on the large scale of the center of Freyming-Merlebach, the heating and start of the fire being located at the height of the first floor, in the converted attic, with the start of fire in the floor among others.

Around twenty men intervened and brought the disaster under control, under the command of Lieutenant Benjamin Konter. Two ton pump vans from Forbach and Freyming were also deployed, among other vehicles.
After more than three hours of intervention, the owners of the premises were able to return to their homes.
