Four departments were placed by Météo-France on orange snow-ice vigilance on Wednesday January 8 from 3 p.m. It is about Seine-Maritime, of the Somme, from Pas-de-Calais et you North.
“In the middle of the day on Wednesday, the disturbance which hit this country on Tuesday gradually moves northwards. Upon contact with the colder air to the north, the precipitation becomes snowy from Upper Normandy to Hauts-de-France. This precipitation weakens in the middle of the night from Wednesday to Thursday,” Météo-France services indicated this Tuesday in their latest bulletin at 4 p.m.
“The most intense axis of the snow episode this Wednesday is expected from Seine-Maritime to Nord-Pas-de-Calais. However, there is a minority scenario in which the main snow axis could also extend on the departments going from the east of Calvados to the north of the Ardennes via the west of Val-d'Oise, and less concern the extreme north of Nord-Pas-de-Calais”, concluded Météo-France.
