Météo is increasing its vigilance for snow and ice expected in Oise, Wednesday January 8 and Thursday January 9, 2025!

First placed on yellow alert, the Oise department was moved to vigilance orange this Wednesday morning. At this level of caution, it joins other departments of Hauts-de-France (, and Pas-de-), where snow should also fall in the coming hours.

“Rain and snow mixed”

In the Oise, this orange vigilance will extend over two days. It will begin at 4 p.m. this Wednesday and end at noon Thursday.

“As temperatures drop today, Wednesday January 8, in the afternoon, precipitation, initially in the form of light rain or mixed rain and snow, takes a snowy character »alerts the Oise Prefecture. Several centimeters of snow are feared.

Then, Thursday January 9 morning, a new snowy passage circulates from west to east across the entire region before clearing out in the middle of the day.

Oise Prefecture

It seems that the north of the department is particularly affected, with cooler temperatures (between 1°C and 3°C this Wednesday afternoon in Crèvecoeur-le-Grand, Breteuil or even Formerie, according to Météo France).
