The war continues between mayor Philippe Mauger and his first deputy Katia Breton. In November, it made a strong criticism of “the failing financial management of the municipality”.
“High-sounding, multi-repetitive words”
The mayor responded at length to his criticisms during the last municipal council meeting, on December 16, 2024. But Katia Breton persists and signs on her site “MouyÀVotre Listen” by taking up point by point all of her arguments and those of the mayor. She opposes her own “strictly factual and verifiable statements” in the words of Philippe Mauger “whose content boils down to high-sounding and multi-repetitive words“.

She explains this response to the mayor's response: “These elements aim to re-establish the facts in the face of empty remarks, assertions without justification, undocumented, repetitive, which seek to minimize serious failings denounced in the financial management of the commune.” She continues by directly addressing Philippe Mauger: “Mr. Mayor, we are waiting for your references, your data, your calculations and your proofs to be able to verify your say.”
As for the accusation of the mayor who declared: “There are no “serious failings” as Katia Breton claims, there is, in fact, only a desire on her part to harm me“, the first assistant retorts: “The accusations of “personal attacks” that you make only distract attention from the real issues: respect for public funds and legal procedures..”
