Four anti-Semitic tags have been discovered in recent days on the Rouen synagogue and on the rabbi's residence located just opposite the synagogue, said, Monday January 6, Natacha Ben Haïm, the president of the Jewish community of Rouen, at “here ”. A complaint was filed against X for “public incitement to discrimination, hatred or racial violence”.

It is assumed that it began on the occasion of the festival of lights, Hanukkah, on December 29. When the crowd left, we noticed that there was a first tag on the synagogue, a swastika. And this Monday morning, a lawyer from Rouen noticed that there were new tags. State services were very responsive, and the findings were made this Monday afternoon“, explains Natacha Ben Haïm to “ici Normandie”.

They are cowards who use the past to taint the present, and it is lamentable. But we won't give them anything, absolutely nothing, we will erase, and we will stay there, and we will continue“, she continues.
The Rouen synagogue was the target of an arson attack last May. Eight months later, the damage is still very significant.
