Morbihan: nearly 400,000 premises eligible for optical fiber
In the Morbihanaccording to figures communicated by the departmental council, 68 % homes and businesses could benefit from very high speed offers on FTTH-type optical fiber support in the second quarter of 2024.
According to theARCEPthe Regulatory Authority for electronic communications, posts and press distribution, nearly 400,000 premises were eligible for September 30, 2024.
“The theoretical fiber coverage rate is now 71% but 169,361 premises cannot yet benefit from fiber, and are therefore still limited to slower internet connections such as ADSL for example,” indicates the Ariase website. .
More than half of the accommodations are eligible
The site zoneadsl.com indicates that 97% of Morbihan homes benefit from an internet connection greater than 3 Megabits per second.
According to data communicated by ARCEP in December 2024, 390 060 premises in Morbihan were eligible for very high speed thanks to optical fiber. The fiber optic eligibility rate was 67,2 % as of September 30, 2024.
