Here is the weather forecast established by the General Directorate of Meteorology for Monday January 6, 2025.
– Locally heavy stormy showers with local hail in the North-West, the Rif, the west of the Mediterranean shore, the Middle Atlas and the Saiss, particularly at the start of the day.
– Light to moderate rain with local thunderstorms over the rest of the regions north of Essaouira, the High Atlas and the Oriental.
– Snowfall on the Rif and the Middle Atlas and in the north of the High Atlas, above 1,600m.
– Fairly strong to locally strong winds in the regions north of Casablanca, the Saiss, the Rif, the Mediterranean coast, the Oriental and the Atlas.
– Quite cold to cold weather with frost or ice in the Atlas, the South-East, the Rif and the Eastern Highlands.
– Local foggy formations the following night on the northern and central plains, the Oriental and the northern Saharan provinces.
– Minimum temperatures of around -01/05°C in the Atlas, the South-East and the eastern highlands, 10/14°C near the coasts and in the Tangier region and the North and Atlantic plains. Center and 04/10°C everywhere else.
– Daily temperatures up in the South-East and down significantly elsewhere.
– Slightly rough to rough seas in the Mediterranean, rough to rough seas becoming slightly rough to rough in the afternoon on the Strait, rough to rough between Tangier and Cape Hadid, fine to slightly rough between Tan-Tan and Boujdour, and not very rough at agitated elsewhere.
